Hello Everyone!

My name is Rev. Sommer Rose Worley, but you can call me Pastor Sommer.  My husband John and I are very happy to be a part of the Homestead Community, especially as part of Homestead United Methodist Church.  We have three children Gabriel, Cutler and Savannah.  Gabe is in High School and loves the band and learning French; in his spare time he plays the guitar.  Cutler is tech savvy and also loves music like his older brother. He has autism which just adds to his awesomeness.  Savannah is a toddler who loves princesses and playing outside.  We also have a doberman named Caesar who will greet you when you come to visit, his bark is loud but only full of love.

I was born and raised in Lebanon, Tennessee where most of my family still resides.  Since 2008, I have been following God on this journey through serving in various laity positions in my home church, attending Asbury Theological Seminary, and then being ordained at Annual Conference in 2017.  In my previous appointment as pastor I discovered a passion for leading the church to see those who are on the outside of our walls, and also learning to look with love and compassion on all who we meet, including those who sit with us in the pews on Sunday morning. I also love all the special seasons in the church calendar. Every Sunday is a time where we can learn more about God, our Savior Jesus, our church history, and each other through sight, sound, and action all guided by the Holy Spirit.

I look forward to our mission of reaching the community and the world with God's love together, as well as getting to know each of you through worship, acts of mercy and acts of grace.  God is always with us, and together, we will do God's will and discover the many blessings that God has in store.  Thank you for letting me be your pastor and letting my family and I journey with you as a part of the body of Christ.  May God continue to bless this congregation as we bless those in our community.
